Frequently asked questions

How does BudgetCombo work?

How does it work? Pick how much you want to spend and answer a few questions: side, pieces you want, knife type, wear, colour theme. The engine builds a full loadout within budget, matching skins by colour and style.

Are the prices real?

Yes. Prices come from the marketplaces and refresh every 30 minutes. They are indicative: the final price depends on the exact float, the pattern and availability at the time of purchase.

Do I need an account or Steam login?

No. No account, no login, no access to your inventory. The site works without knowing who you are.

How does BudgetCombo make money?

Only through marketplace affiliate links: if you buy a skin after clicking through from here, the marketplace pays us a small commission. You pay the same price. We do not sell skins, handle transactions or hold money.

The price you see is never affected by the commission: marketplaces are ordered by price, not by what we earn.

How are colours matched?

Every skin has a colour composition profile with the percentage of each colour it contains. The engine combines that profile with colour theory and community-recognised combos to score how well two pieces work together.

Can I swap a skin I don't like?

Yes. Under each piece you will find other options with their colour match percentage and price difference. You can also set how much to spend on each individual piece and rebuild.
